The first installation of the Uptown Sports Club and Meanwhile Brewing Co. summer backyard barbecue series officially kicks-off on August 2, bringing together chefs, Meanwhile beers, and live music to offer a laid-back, approachable culinary experience reminiscent of the classic summer shindig!

Our inaugural event features chef Evan Leroy of Leroy and Lewis Barbecue, who just announced his upcoming cookbook, “New School Barbecue.” Leroy is cooking up his iconic Smoked Baby Back Ribs & Dill Pasta Salad.

Meanwhile Brewing Co. is also launching a limited canned edition of their Custom Lager, initially brewed for Uptown’s opening menu and still on draft there, which will be available at every event! The American Premium Lager boasts a melody of lemon, dough and spice and is a perfect backyard BBQ accompaniment.

Each event features live music, with the line up to be announced soon! Patrons at Meanwhile can enjoy the beer garden and dog-friendly outdoor event space.
