Do you offer refunds?
If you need to drop out before the registration date, we will offer a full refund only if we are able to fill the slot with another team. If we cannot fill the spot with another team, you will receive a 50% refund for any payments made. If you drop out anytime after the registration deadline, even if you have not played any games, we do not offer any refund. The original deposit from the Team Captain is non-refundable.
Can I sign up after the registration deadline?
No. However, if a team would like to add a free agent, an exception might be made at the discretion of Meanwhile and based on shirt availability.
How late can I change my team roster?
Any roster changes after the registration deadline need to be approved by Meanwhile and may be declined due to shirt availability. No roster changes may be made after 3 weeks into the season.
Can I play two sports at once?
If you would like to sign up for both Soccer and Volleyball Leagues, feel free! However, please make sure to sign up for different days of the week as games may conflict if on the same night.
How do I find out when a new league opens?
Signup information can always be found on our website and we will usually post on instagram when a new season is going live. If you are currently in a season, you can sign up a week early before the next season’s registration is available to the general public.
How does the waitlist work?
If a team signs up, but then has to drop out before the registration deadline, the next team on the waitlist will automatically be notified. If a team drops out after the registration deadline, another team will be added from the waitlist at Meanwhile’s discretion.
If I sign up as an individual, am I guaranteed placement?
If you sign up as a free agent, you are not guaranteed placement on a team. You will either be selected by a Team to fill spots or Meanwhile will group free agents to form their own team, but only if the season is not already full from team registration. Signing up as a Team is the best way to ensure you get to play that season!
Do I need to be a certain age to sign-up?
You must be at least 21 to play.
It’s cold outside- Can I wear something over my jersey like a jacket or hoodie?
Since the Meanwhile Sports League shirts are part of the uniform, all long sleeves & jackets must be worn under the shirt. Even zip-ups that are off the shoulder must be underneath the Meanwhile jersey.
I forgot my uniform at home, can I still play?
No. The uniform is required to play any Meanwhile game.
Can I give my shirt to someone else and have them play for me knowing I'm going to miss a game?
Conditionally. If you need to sub out for one game and would like to have a friend play in your place with your uniform, the team you are playing and the Meanwhile referee must both agree to it. If the other team does not agree, then your team must play short a player.
Can I request a specific color for the team jersey?
You may highlight your top 3 color choices and then one will be assigned to you depending on what is available.
What if I lose my shirt?
If we have a replacement shirt available in the correct size, you can purchase a replacement for $20.
Can I request a certain time for games?
No. All games are between 6pm and 9pm and are scheduled to ensure that each team gets the opportunity to play every other team, so there is limited flexibility.
When will the schedule be up?
A complete season schedule will be posted the week after the registration deadline. Changes may be made due to game cancellations.
How do I find out if the game is canceled?
Teams will be notified via email and an alert will be added to the League page
Can we bring our own drinks onto the field/court?
No, but you may have any beverage Meanwhile has to offer. Just ask your bartender for a plastic cup!
Can we bring coolers?
No. Meanwhile doesn’t allow coolers on the property.
Do I get a discount at the bar?
Yes! Meanwhile will happily provide a 15% discount any time you are wearing your Meanwhile League shirt. Note that the food trucks are a separate business and do not give discounts to League players.
Can my friends/family come to watch?
Absolutely! The more the merrier. There are tables and chairs set up alongside both the soccer field and volleyball court.
